Start a prank

You Do Not Need to Download a Prank Call App

Ruse runs in a modern web browser. Each account gets one lifetime free retry-protected AI prank, with no app download or subscription required.

The call itself is real: Ruse places an outbound telephone call to a supported US or Canadian number while you listen and direct the conversation from the browser.

How to send the call

  1. Open Ruse in your browser and choose a scenario.
  2. Preview the scenario’s assigned character.
  3. Enter the recipient’s US number, first name, and optional context.
  4. Verify your own phone number to create the account.
  5. Start the prank and keep the live page open.
  6. Listen, whisper a useful clue, send an exact sentence if needed, or end the call.

What the first prank includes

The lifetime free first prank receives extra protection: up to six attempts and two answered retries for voicemail ended within 15 seconds or a human call lasting no more than 15 seconds. Additional credit-pack calls use the standard policy.

Browser requirements

  • A current browser with audio playback enabled.
  • A network connection stable enough for the separate live-listening stream.
  • A valid US mobile number for account verification.
  • Permission to call the recipient and compliance with applicable calling and recording rules.

No app does not mean no controls

The web interface still shows dialing, ringing, call duration, transcript, a private whisper field, Say Exactly, and End Call. The recipient answers through their normal telephone service.

Why use a website instead of downloading an app?

A browser flow avoids an installation step and works across desktop and mobile devices. It also gives the live call room enough space for status, listening, transcript, and private direction controls. The phone recipient answers normally; only the person arranging the prank needs the website.

  • No App Store or Play Store download.
  • No access to your contacts is required.
  • Scenario previews are available before account verification.
  • The live page opens as soon as the call starts dialing.

Free online prank-call FAQ

Is a card required for the first call?

No. Eligible accounts receive one lifetime free prank after signing in. Stripe is used only for optional credit-pack purchases.

Can I use Ruse from Safari or Firefox?

Ruse is built for current mobile and desktop browsers. Browser audio policies still require the user’s interaction before playback can begin.

Do credit packs start a subscription?

No. The first protected prank is free, and optional credit packs are one-time purchases.

Your first browser prank call, from start to finish

Open Ruse in a modern mobile or desktop browser, choose one of the nine scenario cards, and listen to the short character preview. The configurator then asks for the US destination, the recipient’s first name, and optional useful context. After the call starts, the same browser becomes the live listening and direction screen; no separate telephone call or downloaded app is required for the person arranging the prank.

  1. Create or sign in to an eligible verified account.
  2. Choose a scenario and preview its voice.
  3. Enter and confirm the US phone number.
  4. Add only the context that improves the premise.
  5. Start, listen live, direct sparingly, and reveal.
