How Ruse works

Ruse is an AI-powered entertainment service for creating harmless prank phone calls. You can hear the conversation live and privately guide what the AI says next.

How it works

  1. 1

    Choose a prank scenario

Pick one of Ruse’s prewritten entertainment scenarios.

  2. 2

    Add the recipient

Enter a US or Canadian phone number, their first name, and optional context.

  3. 3

    Review the assigned AI voice

Each scenario uses its own fixed AI voice so the call matches the script.

  4. 4

    Log in and start

Continue with Google. Eligible new accounts receive one lifetime free standard prank.

  5. 5

    Listen live

Hear both sides of the real phone conversation from the live-call screen.

  6. 6

    Privately steer the AI

Whisper context or queue an exact sentence. The recipient does not hear your directions.

  7. 7

    End or reveal the prank

End the call at any time; the scenario is designed to move toward a harmless reveal.

Credits are non-transferable internal usage entitlements, have no cash value, and can only be used within Ruse. Both credit kinds include up to six attempts. Protected credits refund their first two short connected calls; standard credits, including the lifetime free credit, are consumed when a call connects.

Safety and acceptable use

Ruse is for harmless, personal entertainment with people you know. Users must have the right and any consent required to call the recipient, and follow applicable calling and recording laws.
